Implementing Nature-based Solutions: a methodological framework and lessons learned from practitioners

This event is designed to get operational insights on how to implement Nature-Based Solutions in a diversity of contexts, with short talks of acknowledged experts and feedbacks of practitioners from different parts of the world, followed by a discussion between panellists and the audience. Nature-based Solutions are a great opportunity to address the biodiversity and societal challenges induced by global changes. Concrete actions of protection, restoration and sustainable management of natural and modified ecosystems can increase societies resilience toward climate change and natural hazards while providing important biodiversity benefits. This event aims at facilitating the comprehension of the concept and get operational insights on how to implement it in practise. A methodological framework will be presented to take ownership of the IUCN international standard on NbS followed by several operational feedbacks of practitioners from several parts of the world.
