VIGILIFE

To address the scale and speed of biodiversity erosion, the Vigilife alliance is developing a "Global Life Observatory" based on the using and sharing of innovative technologies such as environmental DNA. This multi-stakeholder platform aims to strengthen scientific, institutional, economic, and technological cooperation on an international scale and is at the service of the implementation of public policies in and between territories. Thanks to strong skills transfer actions, Vigilife will contribute to making each territory that so wishes autonomous in the implementation of these innovative methods and the structuring of long-term monitoring networks.

The standardized eDNA data generated within the framework of Vigilife will feed national and global biodiversity databases. The observatory's data will also be integrated into the Vigilife Maps platform, which enables biodiversity data and indicators to be collected, managed, analysed and shared rapidly with researchers, environmental managers, decision-makers and the general public.
