Alumnus of Education For Nature, Tojo Rasolozaka is a geographer, with a decade of experience in biodiversity conservation and supporting local community-based natural resource management organizations in Madagascar. He has developed specific skills in protected areas surveillance and community patrols using drone. Through his experience in implementing community patrols via the SMART Tool, he has supported 50 CBOs, 28 LMMAs and 4 protected areas in Madagascar. He has well-known and recognized as key person approached by several conservation organizations in Madagascar such as Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust, Madagascar National Parks, Wildlife Conservation Society and GIZ to support their team in the implementation of community patrolling. Driven by a creative and innovative spirit, he is convinced that the effective use of new technologies by local communities is one of the keys to improving conservation and sustainable management of biodiversity.
