Mediterranean solutions
13 Mediterranean Conservation organisations have joined to show the importance of the Mediterranean Basin as a biodiversity hotspot with its cultural specificity, through events and activities that will highlight the main environmental threats and the cooperation conservation activities that have jointly been implemented. It will also be a platform to discuss the future conservation challenges in the region.
Several Mediterranean organizations working in the conservation field, with the support of MAVA Foundation, have joined efforts to show the conservation challenges in the Mediterranean and to increase the visibility of the collaborative work done in the region by sharing the latest nature conservation initiatives, innovations and solutions aimed to preserve biodiversity and the sustainable use of natural resources.
The several jointly organized activities that will be developed in the Mediterranean Solutions stand, are intended to open a debate among the IUCN Members and the civil society to analyze the key biodiversity conservation challenges and to identify future conservation actions.
