This session will present two courses of action for mobilizing young generations in specific territories for biodiversity conservation. Our projects have the particularity of generating (non-monetary) benefits for local biodiversity via better knowledge centralization and transmission, but also benefits for the local societies of the territories where these projects take place. The pitch therefore ambitions to present innovative initiatives that mobilize local societies for environmental protection but also solicit biodiversity to favor either the reinsertion of young men and women within the active world or the empowerment of young women.
The mobilization of young generations for biodiversity conservation is a fundamental step in solving the biodiversity crisis. Through these programs as well as the initiative “Young ambassadors for the environment”, we aim at sparking but also at sustaining youth mobilization beyond the length of the programs.
