I am currently a member of IUCN Council 2016–2020. I am running for the second term. I am currently the Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee of IUCN. I participated in all meetings of the Council, the Standing Committee as well as Bureau, both virtual and in person. I put all my knowledge and expertise available to contribute to advance the mission and values of IUCN. I served in my personnel capacity and served previously in other international boards including the Rosenberg International Forum on Water Policy and the Mediterranean Information Office. I was also the Chair of the National IUCN Palestine Committee.

Experience in fields of concern to IUCN:My background is water resources management. I have a degree in Water Resources Engineering. I worked in the region over the past 30 years to help promote sustainable use of water and natural resources. I also worked on issues related to impact of climate change on water and environment in Palestine and in the region. I also have a degree in Business Administration including management and finance of business.
