The Nature Generation Areas will be accessible to the general public, for free and without registration, from 4 to 11 September 2021. They will offer visitors innovative, creative and playful experiences that will raise awareness of biodiversity while giving them access to the right actions to preserve it!
Get involved in this friendly and lively biodiversity village (free entrance with health pass for over 18s).
Expert talks, giant terrarium, artistic exhibitions, discovery immersion of aquatic biodiversity, practical workshops, projections-debates, games, collaborative works, escape games, life-size butterfly aviary or virtual reality experiences will delight young and old alike.
Join us for roundtables on major biodiversity issues or theatrical performances on the NGA big stage, watch movies before debating with their director or experts in the silent room (closed room with individual listening devices), learn how to design your own cosmetics in thematic alcoves, discover cabinets of curios, participate in organic cooking or permaculture workshops on the esplanades, “lose yourself” in the participatory garden, attend our writing workshops in hives (closed or semi-closed work spaces), participate in the biodiversity fresco or exchange with experts in mini agora.
The goal is to understand our impact on ecosystems and become aware of the pressures on life. The actors present at the NGA will make you aware of various themes (oceans, climate change, agriculture and soils, innovations and participatory sciences...) and will give you the keys to action. National NGOs as well as more local associations, collectives, biodiversity experts, natural areas managers, artists, companies and local authorities will come together to share their own commitments and solutions, so that you too can join the adventure and participate in the challenge of preserving biodiversity.
The Nature Generation Areas’ programme (available below) will reflect biodiversity itself, rich and colourful
More than 375 animations and events will be offered indoor and outdoor to visitors of all ages and backgrounds, in order to make each one of them become an actor in the preservation of biodiversity on a daily basis. A daily digital offer will also be available so that as many people as possible can live the NGA experience. All events organized on the big stage will be broadcast on Facebook Live.
A catering and rest areas will also be at your disposal.
