In this ‘super year for the environment’, the record number of sessions promises to make the IUCN Congress a milestone for the biodiversity and conservation communities, and all who wish to engage in the global dialogue on nature and sustainability.

The Congress, IUCN’s flagship event that takes place once every four years, includes a Forum, an Exhibition, a Members’ Assembly, and numerous other events and ceremonies to welcome and involve thousands of participants from across the globe.

Participants can expect to engage with scientific experts, government representatives, NGOs, indigenous peoples’ organizations, young professionals, civil society and private sector stakeholders, to help design solutions to overcome the most pressing issues facing our planet’s natural systems today, and to contribute to the Post-2020 Global Biodiversity Framework.

The draft Forum programme currently features over 450 scheduled sessions. The programme will continue to be updated with exhibition events and Members’ Assembly sessions in the upcoming months.
