Founding director of the African Institute for Culture and Ecology (AFRICE), an Earth Jurisprudence practitioner and expert member of the UN Harmony with Nature Knowledge Network. AFRICE accompanies Indigenous communities in Uganda to secure legal protection for their Sacred Natural Sites and Territories, revive cultural knowledge and seed diversity, and strengthen their resilience to climate change. Custodians of Life - Reviving Culture and Nature in Uganda’s Great Lakes explores this work and how the Bagungu Indigenous people are reviving the diversity and health of their Earth-centred culture and climate-critical ecosystems.
