Research Fellow at the Centre for Ecosystem Science at the University of New South Wales, member of the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Thematic Group on Red List of Ecosystems.

I completed my studies in ecology in Germany and Venezuela and have research experience in biodiversity monitoring and eco-informatics in Venezuela and South Africa. My research focuses on biodiversity monitoring, species distribution modelling, and risk assessments for species and ecosystems. My current work involves the organization of existing ecological data, monitoring networks, and expert’s knowledge on ecosystems to find spatial and temporal predictors for estimating the status and trends in ecosystem distribution and functions.
