This in-person participation offers the complete Congress experience, from direct exchanges with top conservation experts to high-level live and in-person debates and sessions. Access

Registration fees include participation in all public sessions/events including opening and closing ceremonies and access to the exhibition area (within the maximum building/room capacities and in compliance with relevant security measures) unless specified otherwise for a specific category. For Members’ Assembly sittings and ceremonies priority seating will be given to IUCN Members. Fees will not cover airport transfers, local transportation, meals, accommodation, excursions and/or insurance and are listed without VAT (note that in principle no VAT will apply for registration fees).

Categories definition

  1. Members: All participants who are staff of IUCN Member organisations, IUCN Commission members or staff of IUCN National or Regional Committees. Members registering only for the Assembly would be entitled to register free of charge.
  2. General: Any participant who is not affiliated to IUCN under category 1.
  3. Youth: Any participant born after 10 September 1994. Participants registering as youth may be required to prove their age with an ID onsite.
  4. Accompanying persons: registration that must be linked to a full Congress registration and which will only give restricted access to the following parts: Opening ceremony, opening reception, closing ceremony, exhibition, social events in the evening (after 6:30 pm).
  5. Day Pass: Any individual who wishes to participate in only one day of the Congress. Day passes will be available to participate between 03 and 10 September 2021 and are restricted to a maximum of one day.
  6. Participants and Youth participants living in France: Any individual domiciled in France. Justification of residence in France (ID card, driving license, carte de séjour/residence or facture EDF) may be requested on site. Youth residents of France must be born after 10 September 1994 and may be required to prove their age with an ID onsite.
  7. Participants living outside of France: Any individual domiciled outside of France.

Payment and changes

Purchase orders will not be accepted as a means of payment. For payment, you can choose either to pay by bank transfer or by credit card. Your registration cannot be confirmed without payment.

If you wish to take advantage of discounted early bird or standard registration fees, your payment needs to be received within 15 days after the deadline. Beyond this date, your fee will be increased to the applicable fee at that time. 

You can register for the Congress with early bird rates which end on 17 June. In case you cannot travel to France or attend the Congress physically, you will have the possibility to change your onsite registration to online participation. This change is possible and you will receive the reimbursement of the difference between the onsite and the online fee. All the details regarding this change are explained under the registration section in our Q&A.

Group Registration / Registration on behalf of a participant

To proceed to a group registration or to register an individual on his/her behalf, you first need to contact the registration agency to receive your coordinator account details. Please send an email to iucn@gl-events.com to request your coordinator credentials.
