Ms Camila PEREZ GABILONDO
CEC Programme Officer, IUCN
Camila, an Argentine national, joined IUCN in 2018 as Programme Officer for the Commission on Education and Communication (CEC). She is also the Youth Engagement Coordinator for the IUCN World Conservation Congress in Marseille, France.
Before joining IUCN, Camila worked at the Global Environment Facility (GEF) Secretariat for six years, helping design and implement GEF's communications and country relations strategies. She applies her passion for languages and strategic communications to help advance global efforts, including those of youth, to protect the planet through public awareness initiatives.
Having lived in large cities like Buenos Aires and New York City, Camila is happiest by the ocean or mountains. She holds a Master’s degree in Communications and Public Relations from Georgetown University and Bachelor of Arts in International Affairs from American University in Washington, DC.
