Many sectors are moving towards the use of online and blended learning as a way to build capacity in areas traditionally isolated from these opportunities, often due to a lack of resources and/or geographic restrictions. These innovative technologies and learning approaches allow us to scale up learning opportunities to a broader audience in a cost-effective way. This session will draw on the experience of a range of stakeholders who are working together to improve access to standardised, high quality, technical and scientific training for conservation – sharing best practise in online and blended learning processes; exploring how to best communicate and market your training for maximised engagement, and how these trainings can ensure meaningful qualifications for learners. We will facilitate showcase existing courses, demonstrating the training and offering a space to network and share.
